Training Location Program

The SCPD Canine Section is always looking for locations to develop our canines’ training skills. We frequently use vacant or abandoned properties. Experience has demonstrated that our canines learn to develop patterns when we use the same locations.

As a Friend of SCPD K-9, you can help the Canine Section by participating in our Training Location Program. The program is beneficial in two ways. First, it affords our canines and handlers the opportunity to train in a new environment. Second, having one or more canine teams training can be a deterrent to any possible criminal activity at the location as well as the surrounding area.
